Phantasy Star Zero Announced for the Nintendo DS

Posted on 10 September 2008 | Article By Jarrid Stacy

A new Phantasy Star game for the Nintendo DS was announced in Famitsu’s latest magazine. Sega stated that the new title, Phantasy Star Zero, will support up to four players, have multi-player WiFi capabilities, and even a nifty feature for players to be able to draw sketches within the chat system. Phantasy Star Portable was released in Japan a couple of months ago, and it is selling very well (500,000 copies shipped after the first week it was in stores), so there is a bright future for this Phantasy Star title for a possible release elsewhere. Phantasy Star Zero will be out in Japan this winter.

Edit: According to TheMagicBox.com, Phantasy Star Zero is a prequel to Phantasy Star Online. Fun stuff.
